TREASURE TRAIL
Its like an unforgettable Treasure Trail with farm gates all along the way offering yummy goodies that soon fill your shopping basket - and your mouth.
If its not apples, plums and peaches then its honey, pickles and cheese - plus a great deal more for the larder.
As well as being home to such flavoursome farmyard favourites, the Wonderlands Treasure Trail includes the famous Zig Zag Steam Railway with its amazing sandstone viaducts; the unforgettable village of Mt Wilson which is home to some of Australias most beautiful private gardens (that open to the public) plus the world famous Mt Tomah Cool Climate Botanic Garden.
These gardens offer a first class restaurant as well as great BBQ facilities - but get there early to secure your fireplace. You can also see examples of the jurassic plant called the Wollemi Pine which was recently discovered in the region after millions of years of hiding out.
Another highlight is Kurrajong Village with its quaint shops and spectacular views.
The Wonderlands 'Treasure Trail' travels along the Bells Line of Road between Lithgow and Richmond - then on to the wonderful gateway river town of Windsor, which is just packed with gorgeous boutique and antique shops, market stalls, colonial history and atmosphere.
There are holiday treasures just waiting to be discovered on almost every bend.
