TOP OF THE RANGE
As the name suggests, you dont get any higher than between Medlow Bath and Mt Victoria - plus the views and Blue Mountains Experiences to be savoured along the way are indeed some of the best youll find.
Its very much a history trail, but sprinkled with fabulous well known restaurants and amazing architecture that bursts out of Victorian Europe.
From the Explorers Marked Tree to convict graves; from the almost bizarre Hydro Majestic Hotel to the timeless village of Mt Victoria; from Blackheaths plummeting Grand Canyon and Govetts Leap Falls to the pioneer hewn sandstone roads of Mt York - its an adventure for all - specially for abseilers, rockclimbers and hang-glider pilots.
If the air gets a little too thin, theres always a memorable sojourn through spectacular rainforest down to the nearby Megalong Valley where, while relishing a yummy Devonshire Tea, you can stare back up at the unbelievable and intimidating escarpments.
In Winter, you can also put your money on being able to manufacture your own throwable snowaball.
