ABOVE THE CLOUDS
With the air getting thinner and healthier, the Wonderland region of Above the Clouds spans the delightful towns of Wentworth Falls to Katoomba, the Mountains so called capital.
Like all Mountains, the further up you get the better and bigger the views and the fresher the atmosphere becomes - clearing out the city smog.
The three major towns each offer something magnificently different.
While all boast spectacular valley and escarpment views, Wentworth Falls provides a wonderfully tranquil lake as well as the famous falls themselves, while the picture postcard village of Leura is the very hub of the Mountains boutique shops, galleries and coffee shops.
The olde-worlde town of Katoomba is the proud owner of all that - plus three of Australias most visited icons - the Three Sisters, Scenic World with all its rides and adventures, plus the magnificently redeveloped Echo Point.
Some of the nations best and most famous bushwalks will see you trekking or strolling both down to the forest floor....... and back up through and Above the Clouds.
In Winter, you can always count on some fluffy snow and a good old snowball fight.
