EXPLORERS TRAIL
Just as it was for the famous explorers in 1813, when you venture up the hill from Penrith towards the top of the Mountain, theres always a delightful air of anticipation and excitement.
The ascent from Emu Plains to Lawson is as diverse as it is exhilarating with the quaint village of Glenbrook at the Mountains eastern Gateway setting the scene with an abundance of al fresco cafes and fascinating shops.
Your journey along the Explorers Trail is packed with heritage, historic buildings, convict roads, fabulous views and the wonderful National Park where kangaroos just seem to queue up to see humans.
