Blue Mountains Accommodation: An Extraordinary Diversity
The amazing range of Blue Mountains accommodation is what truly makes this region of Australia a visitors’ paradise. And you’ll find Blue Mountains accommodation for every taste and budget right here in Wonderland Magazine!
Many Aussie and overseas independent travelers find the excellent backpacker hostels the perfect answer to the challenge of finding convenient, budget-priced Blue Mountains accommodation. There’s a large number of clean, friendly hostel-style centres, located close to major attractions and bus tour points. Many visitors also find the choice of 2½ - 3 star motels a convenient solution – these are many and varied, located throughout the Mountains and offering all facilities.
For those seeking a different Blue Mountains accommodation experience, why not book into one of the myriad bush cabins and self-contained cottages, where you can get really close to nature and remain fully independent at the same time. A similar option is the ‘studio style’ bed & breakfast, offering privacy and self-contained facilities but with a proprietor close by to look after unforeseen needs and offer good advice on attractions, restaurant and entertainment options.
Blue Mountains accommodation is renowned the world over, of course, for its astonishing bed and breakfast options where you experience the ease of a home-style environment in a quiet, comfortably furnished suite or apartment. The B&B is perfect for the romantic getaway or a short break vacation to wind down after a busy week. You’ll find charming B&Bs in every price range, from the small heritage or cottage style and the larger ‘country house’ experience, right through to the elegant guesthouse and 5-star luxury level. And if serious indulgence is your preference, Blue Mountains accommodation options naturally include the very best in the 5- and 6-star ‘resort & spa’ hotel experience. Welcome to Wonderland’s Blue Mountains accommodation directory, and enjoy your visit!

Nature Watch
Summer abstracts of nature's art, everyday things, can astonish when you see them just slightly differently. The brush strokes of Australian flora, the Native Pea's red and yellow colour burst, warm the eye and heart. A waterfall cascades to a glade of ferns. A riverbank dragonfly rests momentarily. An enchanted pathway leads to nowhere except a quiet place to sit and simply be.
when the world wearies and societry no longer satisfies, thre is always the garden. "All the worthwhile things that happen in your garden happen despite you, not because of you", advised Monty Don this year. "Relinquish control and let the garden give you signals. It will".
A swarm of tiny Silver Eyes, perhaps sixty in number, bob about in the air excitedly, darting across the garden for no apparent reason and chirping loudly around the gardener's head, clearly bringing her important news. She stops enraptured by this rare exquisiteness. Curious Bower birds and Magpies watch from a distance to see what the fuss is about. The Silver Eyes fly off and repeat the news flash, two gardens away.
A lake's reflection, a circle of rock ledge swirls, the first light through native water reeeds, the breathtaking arrival of day when the sun paints an entire escarpment in gold. Nature, one of the Mountains' glories, just can't help being a summer show-off
